Lava’s partnership with leading supplier of aids to navigation

The Lava Group has today announced a new partnership with Hydrosphere, a leading supplier of aids to navigation. Hydrosphere will sell and distribute Sentry to the water safety markets across the UK, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

Hydrosphere represent world-leading innovators in the production of marine equipment including navigation lights, navigation buoys and data buoy platforms.  In addition, they manufacture and design ancillary equipment including power supplies, monitoring and control systems, all of which are backed with a full installation and maintenance service.

The resulting partnership benefits from Hydrospshere’s experience in the marine industry and Lava’s expertise in developing electronic monitoring solutions for the water safety market.

Commenting on this new partnership, Gareth Morrison, CEO of The Lava Group said, “Working with Hydrosphere is a great opportunity for the company. This increases our export potential and enables us to access new markets. With our award winning solution alongside Hydrosphere’s experience in this sector, I am confident that we can together offer customers a unique solution for water safety.

Sentry is an award winning product that electronically monitors the presence of a lifebuoy and throw rope within a lifebuoy enclosure. An alarm is triggered when a lifebuoy is removed from the enclosure. Thus helping reduce loss of life due to a stolen/absent lifebuoy.
