Lava team up with Air Ambulance N. Ireland

Staff at The Lava Group have chosen Air Ambulance Northern Ireland (AANI) as their 2018 Charity of the Year.

AANI manages the helicopter operations of Northern Ireland’s Helicopter Emergency Medical Service.  It works in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and the Health Trusts which provide the medical teams on board its helicopter.  Each year it takes £2million to sustain the Service and without support from the public, the Service could not exist.

Gareth Morrison CEO of The Lava Group, said:

We are excited to be supporting AANI.  In work we develop innovative technologies for the Security, Water Safety and Health sectors, all with the purpose of ‘Improving the quality of people’s lives.’  We see our partnership with AANI has a perfect fit and one which complements this passion”.

Our staff are looking forward to getting involved and contribute to fundraising ideas that will make a direct and tangible difference to AANI.

From its base in Lisburn the Air Ambulance operates 7 days a week, 12 hours a day and can reach any part of Northern Ireland in just twenty-five minutes.

Grace Williams, Area Fundraising Manager at the charity said:

We are very grateful to The Lava Group for supporting the work of Air Ambulance NI and we would like to encourage everyone to support our fundraising. As our charity is in its infancy, public fundraising support is crucial, as each day we need to raise in the region of £5,500 to keep the service going.

Lava’s Business Development Manager Joanne McMullan, recently visited AANI’s base, to help kick-start the company’s fundraising for the year.
