Charitable giving is very much part of our culture at the Lava Group. The company recently made a presentation for £1,500 to Amey Reynolds, Corporate Fundraising Assistant for Action Cancer, Northern Ireland’s leading, local cancer charity. Their mission is to save lives and support local people through cancer awareness, prevention, detection and support.
The charity relies heavily on donations from the public and business communities in Northern Ireland to provide a range of vital lifesaving services. The money donated from the Lava Group will help go towards supporting their services including Digital Breast Screening, M.O.T. Health Checks, Support & Therapeutic Services and Health Promotion Programmes.
Lava’s charity partnership is part of the company’s commitment to making a positive contribution to society and the community in which we operate. Throughout the year staff got involved in a number of fundraising activities including raffles, Last Man Standing competitions and a 10K run. Our CEO got in on the action, participating in a 155km/95 mile cycling event ‘Lap the Lough’.
The Lava Group Charity Committee was set up to raise awareness and funds for local charities. The committee meet on a regular basis throughout the year to respond to employee fundraising proposals and to encourage involvement in fundraising activities. The Committee would like to thank our staff in Lava Group for their hard work and to everyone who supported their fundraising.
