Lava raise £1,400 for NICHS

We had a great year raising money for the NICHS and are pleased to announce that we have raised over £1,400 for the charity.

Some of the events that we joined were the Europa abseil, Newry Half Marathon, hosting  the big breakfast and many others.

Thank you to everyone who donated and participated in the events, the money raised goes to a fantastic cause.

Today in Northern Ireland 10 people will suffer a heart attack, 11 people will have a stroke And 1 in every 8 deaths will result from respiratory failure. In addition to this over 200,000 people are living with long term chest, heart, or stroke conditions. In fact, 40% of adults deaths in Northern Ireland are from chest, heart or stroke conditions. 

Their vision for Northern Ireland is one where everyone can live life to the full, free from chest, heart and stroke illnesses. To achieve this, NICHS work is focused in these areas:

• Prevention
• Health promotion
• Research
• Campaigning
