At Lava Group, we believe in making meaningful contributions to society. We are thrilled to share our efforts and achievements as part of our “Charity of the Year” initiative. This year, we’ve focused our energies on supporting AWARE NI. AWARE NI are dedicated to improving the lives of those affected with depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder in Northern Ireland.
Throughout the year, our team engaged in an array of fundraising events. From festive Christmas jumper day to challenging coastal walks along the Causeway. They also joined in sweepstakes, raffles and pizza parties. Throughout these events our staff demonstrated incredible enthusiasm and commitment. Additionally, a commendable effort was made by our colleague Lee who cycled 25 miles daily throughout January, showing immense dedication and inspiring us all.
At Lava we also recognise the importance of investing in the mental health of our staff so that we create a healthier, happier and more productive team. Through our partnership with AWARE NI, we participated in the Mood Matters programme. It equipped our team with skills and techniques to manage their mental health. The programme covered managing feelings of stress, worry, depression and coping with challenges at work and home.
The highlight of our efforts was presented to Lisa Abell-Farrelly, Corporate Partnership Officer, for AWARE NI with a cheque for £1,500. Lisa expressed her appreciation saying.
We are incredibly grateful for Lava Group’s generous donation and unwavering support. Their commitment, not just financially but through active involvement in our programmes, will make a lasting impact on those we support throughout Northern Ireland and the landscape of mental health in our community.
“At Lava we are immensely proud of the dedication and generosity our team has shown this year. Not only does this donation represent financial support but it also shows a deep commitment to the mental health and well-being of our community,” says Annette Murray, Office Manager at the Lava Group.
As we reflect on this year’s achievements, we are inspired to continue our efforts and explore new ways to contribute positively. Thank you to everyone who participated and donated. Together, we are helping to make a difference.
