The Lava Group has recently been announced as a finalist in the Irish News “Workplace and Employment Awards 2018” for Workplace Wellbeing.
Now in their 12th year, The Irish News Workplace and Employment Awards recognise the importance of people to an organisation and celebrate the very best organisations in Northern Ireland.
The Workplace Wellbeing category is for businesses who are recognised as having healthy and happy staff who enjoy higher levels of staff morale, productivity and ultimately profitability.
Lava demonstrated their commitment to workforce wellbeing with the launch of a Health and Wellbeing Programme. The programme combines awareness, prevention and a support structure to empower staff to live healthier lives.
Annette Murray, Lava Health Champion, commented:
It’s great to be recognised for our continuing work and development of wellbeing practices. We recognise that the health and wellbeing of our staff is vital to the success of our business. We introduced the company’s health and wellbeing strategy to energise our workforce to join together and support each other on the path to healthier lifestyles.
The glittering black-tie dinner will be held on 14th June in Titanic Belfast and will be compered by co-hosts, BBC’s Karen Patterson and comedian, actor and TV presenter Tim McGarry. The guest speaker is Tim Dorsett, culture ambassador at one of the happiest brands on the planet, Innocent Drinks, who will share the company’s phenomenal success story.
