The Role

As a key member of the Development Team you will design, develop and maintain existing and new software systems for The Lava Group and contribute to system design in areas of functional specification, technical specification, database design and user interface.

You will produce functional, efficient, well-structured and reliable code according to the company quality standards and produce work on-time and budget to a consistently high standard.

You will demonstrate adaptability to changing requirements and priorities. A natural team player you will collaborate with others as necessary.

Excited by technology you will keep up to date with current and future technology that Lava Group could exploit.

You will mentor, encourage, and facilitate the development of others in the team and assist the Technical team in the ongoing maintenance of Lava Group products

The Individual

Essential

• A degree in Software Development or Computing related discipline or equivalent.
• Experience of Microsoft .Net (C#) or another Object Orientated Language i.e. Java
• A logical, methodical thinker with creative problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A multitalented individual who can thrive in a demanding environment, and who can contribute their own innovative ideas.
• Self-motivated with an ability to work independently and creatively, delivering within deadlines.

Desirable

• A placement year of work experience is desirable but not essential.
• Any Experience in Windows Forms / Windows Services / Web Applications, Microsoft SQL Server, Source Control (Git)
