Gareth Morrison
A highly experienced leader and board member, Gareth has driven forward a successful growth strategy for Lava with a target of transforming the lives of 100M people by 2031. Led by his extensive experience in the criminal justice market, has seen the company expand its product range and enter new market sectors.
To this end, the company won its largest ever contract to provide access control solutions for a new prisons in Cork & Limerick, followed by larger export contracts in the criminal justice market. Gareth has been instrumental in leading the partnership with the Connected Health Innovation Centre (CHIC) which has helped Lava move into the health sector.
Gareth has overseen the company’s investment in research and development and the creation of the right skills to enable the company to significantly scale. As a leader he has helped build a culture which recognises the important role each team member plays within Lava and one where people feel empowered to learn and grow.

Edward Hanna
Edward is a founding member of Lava Group and the company’s Technical Director. His skills as a systems architect and designer have underpinned some of our most innovative and successful products.
A gifted technologist, Edward inspires the team, setting standards and acting as technical mentor.
Edward brings a wide range of skills to Lava Group – he works with everything from software through to control electronics. A problem solver by nature, he continually finds practical solutions through the application of technology.
Edward graduated from the University of Ulster in Belfast with Higher National Diploma in Computer Studies and an MSc in Informatics. He has since co-authored several papers on Corrections Technology.

A dedicated Office Manager with over 20 years of experience who excels at using proven methods to successfully streamline office operations, ensuring that processes and governance are in place which safeguard the organisational effectiveness and efficiency of the Lava Group office.
Annette has brought a broad range of management experience to the Lava Group with themes of financial management, customer service and project management running throughout.
As the key contact for human resources, finance, and accreditations, Annette coordinates and organises all administrative activities that facilitate the smooth day-to-day operations of the Lava Group office.
