Key success for Lava Work Placement

We are thrilled to announce that Maeve Hanna a placement student at the Lava Group has received the Ulster University’s Dean List Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement.  This is an outstanding accomplishment for Maeve, having earned the award for the second consecutive year. 

Maintaining a busy schedule, Maeve is currently studying a Bachelor’s Degree in Product Design at Ulster University and has just completed her industrial placement with the Lava Group.

Maeve has been working with the Lava Group’s Product Development team to improve the company’s existing hardware designs and contributing to the company’s next-generation solutions.

“My time at the Lava Group has been very rewarding.  I have felt trusted and part of the team while working on a number of live creative briefs and producing them through to prototyping and manufacturing”, said Maeve.

The Lava Group’s work experience programme offer a range of activities for students.  The programmes provide students with an invaluable insight into the varied career options which can be explored from studying STEM and business related subjects.

Work placements do require both time and financial commitment, but the rewards are clear.  Opening up our work experience vacancies has attracted enthusiastic and motivated students, like Maeve.  She added, “Not only are they producing high quality of work and generating new ideas, their ambitious attitude and spark is an infectious trait, which reinvigorates the rest of our staff.
